Pop superstar Prince is unquestionably one of the best live musicians in the business, and tickets for his 20Ten sell-out tour are like gold dust. Yet his so-called “after shows” are arguably even more legendary than the concerts themselves. Prince himself decides if and when he will do an after-show gig – often not until during the concert itself.

So when rumors of an after-show gig in Brussels emerged, fan sites began buzzing with details of “where and when” it might be held. The excitement rose, and loyal Belgian fans rushed to potential venues in the hope of seeing and hearing their hero up close and personal. But what they didn’t know was that – as Prince entertained thousands of fans at the sell-out concert – his team were still choosing a suitable venue .

At around 9 pm, Casinos Austria International’s newly opened Viage Entertainment Center on Anspach Boulevard received the call – it had been chosen as the venue for the secret after-show gig. The requirements were explained: no filming or photography was permitted, and the Viage team had just two hours to prepare the light and sound systems and set up the function room before the musical instruments would arrive.

At midnight, Prince finally announced that the gig would take place in Viage. The crew arrived about 1 am, and the superstar himself checked the sound with a short burst on all the instruments. He then delighted around 600 fans to a two-hour exclusive show including a magnificent performance of a track from his new 20Ten album entitled "Future Soul Song".

The venue was intimate and perfectly set up, clearly demonstrating that in the three short months since it opened Viage has already firmly established itself as the entertainment venue in Brussels.
