Vienna, 28 January 2009 --- Casinos Austria International (CAI) has been voted "Best European Casino Operator" for the second year in a row at the prestigious Empire Events Gaming Awards 2009 in London. 

The Gaming Awards 2009 are managed by Empire Events, a subsidiary of Empire Casino Recruitment Ltd. The "Best European Casino Operator 2009" award is presented to the casino operator that has consistently and decisively dominated the casino sector during the year. Judges in this category were looking for operators that have the vision, originality and vitality to set them apart from the others in the market place and considered aspects like brand identity, marketing, customer service, innovation and use of new technologies. 

Accepting the award on behalf of Casinos Austria International, CEO Paul Herzfeld said: "We feel very excited and proud to have won the award for the Best Casino European Operator for the second year in a row. Casinos Austria International currently operates casinos in 19 countries around the world, and this award represents strong public recognition of our achievements and success." 

Awards were presented in a total of 18 categories, with winners selected in an extensive judging process by a series of juries comprising leading international industry professionals, specialized journalists, analysts and representatives of the main sponsors.
