The acclaimed Pilsen Urquel beer is intrinsically linked with the city. First opened in 1991, City Casino relocated to a new prime location on the main town square in 1998, rejuvenating the city's casino business with its spacious table gaming area and excellent bar and lounge facilities. The contemporary interior design with its delicate pastel shades has transformed the casino into an inviting and relaxing establishment. Promotional events and functions, such as film festival parties and art exhibitions, feature prominently on the events calendar. City Casino’s gaming mix was extended in 2009 to include a range of VLT machines.
