Located in the north-west of the Argentinean province of Salta around 365 km from the provincial capital, Salta city, Tartagal is the capital of the Department of General José de San Martín. The town’s welcoming casino first opened back in December 2002 as a slots-only venue. The lively slots hall relocated to a new and more prominent location on the main town square in September 2008, when it also expanded its gaming mix to offer guests live gaming entertainment from Wednesday to Sunday each week at a choice of American Roulette, Blackjack and Poker tables. With Tartagal's proximity to the country’s borders with Bolivia and Paraguay, Casino Tartagal is popular with both local guests and international visitors alike and also offers a comprehensive bar service.
